Beaufort scale (of wind force)
A meteorological scale classifying wind speed from 0 (calm) to 12 (hurricane). Used in weather reports and navigation.
In weather forecasts, wind strength is sometimes expressed using the Beaufort scale.
A Beaufort scale value of 8 corresponds to a gale.
