A Japanese wasei-eigo term for offal or organ meats, often used in yakiniku or horumon contexts. Despite the English-sounding name, it refers to internal organs and other less common cuts, not premium meat.
When I ordered fancy meat at the yakiniku restaurant, I got liver and heart.
Fancy meat is also called horumon.
Variant with a middle dot; less common but sometimes seen.
