Usage patterns

• 〈物もの〉にマスタードをつけるto put mustard on something

  ホットドッグにマスタードをつけて食たべた。

  I ate the hot dog with mustard on it.

• マスタードを塗ぬるto spread mustard (on bread, meat, etc.)

  パンにマスタードを塗ぬってからハムをのせた。

  I spread mustard on the bread before putting the ham on.

• マスタードで和あえるto dress or mix (a dish) with mustard

  野や菜さいをマスタードで和あえたサラダを作つくった。

  I made a salad by dressing the vegetables with mustard.
