Usage patterns

• 〈物もの〉にマーカーで印しるしをつけるto mark something with a marker

  地ち図ずにマーカーで印しるしをつけた。

  I marked the map with a marker.

• 〈場ば所しょ〉にマーカーを立たてるto set up a marker at a place (to indicate a boundary or position)

  コース上じょうにマーカーを立たてた。

  They set up markers along the course.

• マーカーを務つとめるto serve as a scorekeeper (e.g. in golf)

  友ゆう人じんのゴルフラウンドでマーカーを務つとめた。

  I served as the marker for my friend's round of golf.

• マーカーで線せんを引ひくto draw a line with a marker (often to highlight text)

  教きょう科か書しょの重じゅう要ような部ぶ分ぶんにマーカーで線せんを引ひいた。
