one koku
A historical Japanese unit of volume, roughly 180 liters, used especially for rice. The term is now mainly encountered in historical or cultural contexts.
In the Edo period, a daimyo's income was expressed in units of koku.
From 一 (one) + 石 (koku, a unit of volume). The reading いっこく is a regular sound change from いちこく.
