chūnō sauce; medium-thick Worcestershire-style sauce
A semi-sweet Japanese sauce, thicker than ウスターソース but thinner than とんかつソース, made from fruit and vegetables. Common in home cooking and on dishes like okonomiyaki.
Chūnō sauce goes well with both tonkatsu and okonomiyaki.
