Formal written conjunction used to add a stronger or additional point. Often follows a statement and introduces a further fact or argument. Equivalent to 'not only that, but also'.

  He is an excellent researcher. Moreover, he is also outstanding as an educator.

• この計けい画かくは費ひ用ようがかかる。しかのみならず、時じ間かんも大おお幅はばに必ひつ要ようとする。

  This plan is costly. Furthermore, it requires a great deal of time.
