Minister of Labour
Refers to the cabinet minister responsible for labor affairs. In Japan, this position was part of the Ministry of Labour (労働省) until it was merged into the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (厚生労働省) in 2001. The term may still be used historically or in contexts where a separate labour ministry exists.
