reflexive pronoun (Japanese grammar)
Linguistics term for a pronoun that refers back to the subject, such as 自分 (jibun) in Japanese. Rare outside academic contexts; often contrasted with 再帰代名詞 (saiki daimeishi), which is the more common term for reflexive pronouns in general linguistics.
