Chinese poem; Chinese-style poem
Refers to poetry written in classical Chinese style, often contrasted with Japanese-style poetry (大和歌). The reading からうた is less common than かんし for 漢詩.

Standard modern spelling. 漢詩 is also commonly read かんし, but this word specifically refers to the からうた reading.
Historical spelling; 唐 refers to Tang China, and 歌 is used for poetry. Rarely used in modern Japanese.
