Humble equivalent of 知る. Used when the speaker refers to their own knowledge or acquaintance with someone/something, showing respect to the listener or a third party. The zuru form is a slightly older or more formal variant of 存じる.

  I humbly think that your proposal is excellent.

• お目めにかかれて光こう栄えいに存ぞんじます。

  I feel honored to meet you.
