logarithmic differentiation
A calculus technique where one takes the natural logarithm of both sides of an equation and then differentiates, often used for functions with variable exponents or complex products.
Using logarithmic differentiation, the derivative of x^x can be found easily.
Compound of 対数 (logarithm) + 微分 (differentiation) + 法 (method). The term directly describes the technique.
