• 江え戸ど時じ代だい、小こ作さく人にんは収しゅう穫かくの一いち部ぶを小こ作さく米まいとして地じ主ぬしに納おさめた。

  In the Edo period, tenant farmers paid a portion of their harvest to the landlord as rice rent.
