last player (in hanafuda)
In hanafuda, the player who goes last in a round. The term is specific to the game and not used in general contexts.

When you are the last player in hanafuda, you take your cards last.
Usually written in katakana; usually written in kana.
Hiragana spelling is also possible, but katakana is more common.
Ateji (phonetic) kanji spelling; rarely used.
The origin is uncertain; possibly from a contraction or alteration related to びり (last) or a similar sound-symbolic root. The kanji 尾季 is ateji.
