Colloquial term for the activity of discarding unnecessary possessions, often as a lifestyle trend. Similar to 断捨離 (danshari) but more casual.

• 週しゅう末まつは捨すて活かつをして、部屋へやをすっきりさせた。

  I did some decluttering over the weekend and tidied up my room.

• 捨すて活かつが趣しゅ味みになって、物ものが減へるのが楽たのしくなった。
