dharma-body of Vairocana
Buddhist term referring to the fundamental, universal body of the Buddha Vairocana, as distinguished from manifested forms. Often contrasted with 加持身 (kajishin), the response-body that appears to sentient beings.

In Esoteric Buddhism, the dharma-body of Vairocana is considered to be the truth of the universe itself.
The relationship between the dharma-body and the response-body represents the absolute and relative aspects of the Buddha.
