Every year on April 8th, the Buddha's birthday celebration is held at the temple.
From 浴 (よく, 'bathe') + 仏 (ぶつ, 'Buddha') + 会 (え, 'gathering'), referring to the ritual bathing of a Buddha statue during the celebration.
