A traditional Japanese wooden container, often lacquered, used for holding and serving hot liquids such as water or sake. Commonly seen in ryokan and tea ceremony settings.
At the inn, I put hot water in a yutō and carried it to the room.
In tea ceremony, a yutō is sometimes used to pour hot water.
