quasi-internal character
A computing term for a character that is treated as internal in some contexts but not fully integrated into the standard character set. Rare outside technical documentation.
In this system, there are several characters treated as quasi-internal characters.
Compound of 準 (quasi-) + 内 (internal) + 字 (character). The exact historical derivation is uncertain; the term appears in modern computing contexts.
