agranulocytosis
Medical term for a severe acute condition involving a marked decrease in granulocytes, often drug-induced.
Agranulocytosis can occur as a side effect of certain medications.
Granulocytopenia is a broader decrease in granulocytes, whereas agranulocytosis is a severe, often near-absence of granulocytes.
From 無 (without) + 顆粒球 (granulocyte) + 症 (condition/disease).
