sutra mound
A mound or stone structure built to enshrine Buddhist sutras, often for merit or to preserve the teachings for a future age.
Several old sutra mounds remain on this mountain.
Compound of 経 (kyō, 'sutra') and 塚 (tsuka, 'mound'). The reading づか is a rendaku form of つか.
