Archaic term describing speech that is indistinct or poorly articulated, often due to a physical condition or drunkenness. Not used in modern everyday language.
彼は酒に酔って舌つきが怪しくなった。
He got drunk and his speech became slurred.
Alternate kanji spelling; less common than 舌つき.
Compound of 舌 (tongue) and つき (manner of doing something, from 付く). The exact historical derivation is uncertain.
