Archaic literary word describing a bleak, lonely, or desolate atmosphere or state. Used as a taru-adjective or adverb with と.

• 古ふるい小しょう説せつに「落らく莫ばくとした風ふう景けい」という表ひょう現げんが出でてくる。

  In old novels, the expression 'a desolate landscape' appears.

• 彼かれは落らく莫ばくとして、一ひと人り酒ざけを飲のんでいた。

  He was drinking alone, feeling lonesome and dreary.
