In martial arts, a technique to shake, flick, or wipe blood from a blade after cutting. Often part of kata or sword etiquette.

• 剣けん道どうの形かたで、血ち振ぶりの動どう作さを学まなぶ。

  In kendo kata, we learn the motion of chiburi (shaking blood off the sword).

• 居い合あいでは、血ち振ぶりと納のう刀とうが一いち連れんの流ながれになっている。

  In iaido, chiburi and noto (sheathing) form a continuous sequence.
