andōn-bakama; hakama without gussets
Archaic term for a type of hakama without the usual gussets, worn by female students and later male students in the Meiji period. Now a historical garment.
In the Meiji period, female students wore andōn-bakama.
Unlike regular hakama, andōn-bakama have no gussets.
