見み知しる

Often used in the negative or past tense to indicate familiarity with someone's face or name. More common in the compound 見知らぬ (unknown) or 見知った (familiar).

• 彼かれの顔かおは見み知しっているが、名な前まえは知しらない。

  I recognize his face, but I don't know his name.

• 見み知しらぬ人ひとから電でん話わがかかってきた。

  I got a call from an unknown person.
