expression

insisting one is right even after being proven wrong

Idiomatic expression describing stubborn refusal to admit a mistake, even when the evidence is clear. The image is of a black bean that remains black no matter how much it crawls.

Even though he is clearly wrong, he stubbornly refuses to change his opinion, like a black bean that stays black no matter how much it crawls.
