permanganic acid
Inorganic acid with formula HMnO₄, known mainly as an intermediate in the production of permanganate salts. Rarely encountered in pure form; usually discussed in the context of its salts (過マンガン酸塩).
Permanganic acid is unstable and rarely exists in pure form.
Potassium permanganate is used as a strong oxidizing agent.
