noun
supersaturated solution
Technical term in chemistry for a solution containing more dissolved solute than would normally be possible at a given temperature.
過飽和溶液は不安定で、少しの刺激で結晶が析出する。
A supersaturated solution is unstable, and crystals precipitate with a slight stimulus.
A saturated solution, which contains the maximum amount of dissolved solute at a given temperature, unlike a supersaturated solution which exceeds that limit.
Compound of 過 (excess) + 飽和 (saturation) + 溶液 (solution).
