Amitabha triad
Buddhist iconographic term: the central Amitabha Buddha flanked by the bodhisattvas Avalokiteshvara (Kannon) and Mahasthamaprapta (Seishi). Used in descriptions of Pure Land Buddhist art and doctrine.
The Amitabha triad is a three-figure arrangement with Amitabha Tathagata at the center, flanked by Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva on the left and Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva on the right.
