ば~で・ なら~で・ たら~たでIf that is the case, it has its own consequences
This construction accepts one possible situation and then comments on the consequences, problems, or advantages that come with that particular situation. The key feature is that the same verb, adjective, or noun is repeated.
Looking at that case on its own terms
The first half does more than set a condition. It temporarily accepts the situation, and the repeated half means roughly “if that is how things are, then within that case...” What follows is an assessment or response that applies specifically to that situation.
Problems and practical responses
The result is not always negative. The construction can acknowledge a difficulty, identify a benefit, or suggest how to handle the situation.

Analyze忙しければ忙しいで、かえって集中できる。

AnalyzeWhen either alternative has consequences
家は広ければ広いで掃除が大変だし、狭ければ狭いで収納に困る。
A large house is hard to clean, while a small one leaves you short of storage space.
AnalyzeRepeating the construction for both alternatives emphasizes that neither choice is entirely simple.
How this differs from an ordinary conditional
Basic ば, たら, and なら simply introduce a condition or premise. This construction echoes the same item and then evaluates what follows within that accepted case: not merely “if A,” but “if A, then A has its own consequences.”
