放題Unlimited; as much as one likes
放題 expresses freedom from a relevant limit: someone can do something as much as they like or are allowed. It can also describe an undesirable action or condition that has been allowed to continue unchecked.
The limit that disappears
放題 does more than indicate a large amount. It presents an expected limit—such as price, access, self-restraint, or proper maintenance—as absent or ignored. The context tells you whether this freedom is attractive or irresponsible.
Three common readings
The same formation covers commercial access, unrestrained behavior, and conditions left unchecked.
この店のランチは、焼きたてのパンが食べ放題です。
With lunch at this restaurant, you can eat as much freshly baked bread as you like.

Tone and sentence use
An unlimited service is usually neutral or appealing, while the patterns with the desire form and neglected states often imply excess, selfishness, or failure to intervene. Once formed, the expression can end a sentence with だ or です, or be followed by に when it describes how someone behaves.
An established expression
親が注意しないので、子どもたちは店内で好き放題に振る舞っていた。
Because their parents did not correct them, the children were behaving however they pleased inside the store.
Analyze好き放題 is an established expression and often suggests selfish or inconsiderate freedom.
Unlimited opportunity versus vigorous repetition
見放題 presents viewing as unlimited or unrestricted. By contrast, 見まくる says that someone actually watches repeatedly or intensely. Freedom from limits and vigorous repetition are related ideas, but they are not interchangeable.
休み中は好きなドラマを見まくった。
During the break, I binge-watched my favorite dramas.
