からある・からいる・からする・からのall of; as many as

After a number, it says the number is big, and that the true figure is that or more: "a good twenty kilos", "all of a million yen". The ending depends on what is being counted.

彼かれは二に十じゅっキロからある荷に物もつを背せ負おって、山やま道みちを登のぼっていった。

He went on up the mountain path with a good twenty kilos on his back.

その腕うで時計どけいは、中ちゅう古こでも三さん百びゃく万まん円えんからする。

Even used, that wristwatch costs all of three million yen.

How to form it

Number + からある／からいる／からする

からある for size, weight and distance, からいる for people, からする for a price.

Before a noun

Number + からの + noun

For anything counted: 三さん万まん人にんからの観かん光こう客きゃく, 百ひゃく万まん円えんからの借しゃっ金きん. It is the usual shape for people; からいる is the rarest of the four.

Before it: A number with its counter, big for the situation and usually round: 二に十じゅっキロ, 千せん人にん, 百ひゃく万まん円えん.
Tone: Impressed or daunted.
Where you'll meet it: Mostly in writing: novels, reportage, essays. Said aloud it tends to sound a little old-fashioned, and is heard more from older people.
In everyday speech: も: 二に十じゅっキロもある荷に物もつ, 三さん百びゃく万まん円えんもする.

In use

人じん力りきで動うごかせると思おもったが、その岩いわは重おもさが五ごトンからある。

We thought it could be moved by hand, but the rock weighs a good five tons.

人じん口こう一いち万まん人にんの町まちなのに、祭まつりの日ひには観かん光こう客きゃくだけで三さん万まん人にんからいるという。

The town has only ten thousand residents, yet on the day of the festival the tourists alone are said to number thirty thousand or more.

地ち方ほうの小ちいさな美び術じゅつ館かんに、初しょ日にちだけで五ご千せん人にんからの来らい館かん者しゃが押おし寄よせた。

On the first day alone, upwards of five thousand visitors poured into the small regional museum.

After a place, a person or a time, からの is the plain "from" before a noun. After a number it is this one.

On a price list, から is where a range starts. Nothing is being called a lot.

この店みせの靴くつは三さん千ぜん円えんからです。

Shoes at this store start at 3,000 yen.
