んがため(に)In order to, with determined purpose
んがため(に) expresses a strong, often momentous purpose: someone deliberately acts in order to accomplish an important aim. It belongs mainly to literary, historical, and rhetorical writing rather than ordinary conversation.
Purpose with weight
This construction does more than state a practical goal. It presents the following action as driven by firm determination, so the purpose should normally be serious enough to justify the elevated style. Independence, survival, justice, restoration, and the fulfillment of a mission are natural themes; an ordinary errand usually is not.
Formation in context
The purpose comes first, followed by the deliberate action taken to achieve it. Both the version with に and the version without it can link to that action.

Choosing among purpose expressions
んがため(に) is the most archaic and dramatically forceful choice here. べく is also elevated and written, but is generally less archaic and less emotionally charged. Ordinary ために states an intentional purpose without the literary coloring. Use ように when the focus is achieving a desired result, especially with potential, negative, or non-intentional expressions.
