を押して describes deliberately proceeding despite an illness, injury, or practical strain. を押し切って describes going ahead by actively overcoming opposition or objections.
Choosing the right form
を押して presents an obstacle that the person knowingly bears while continuing. を押し切って is stronger: the person or group defeats resistance and carries a decision through. The following action must therefore be intentional, not merely something that happens.
