ゆえ（に）・
ゆえ（に） and がゆえ（に） present a cause or reason in formal, literary language. They give the statement a weighty or solemn tone rather than simply supplying a neutral “because.”
Choosing the ending
Use に when the reason leads into the following clause. It may be omitted in compressed or especially literary writing. When the entire causal expression modifies a noun, replace it with の.

The wording around the construction should support its elevated tone.
委員会は資金不足のゆえに、計画の中止を余儀なくされた。
Because of insufficient funding, the committee was forced to cancel the plan.
