JLPT N2Spoken and writtenThree levels of stiffness

Take either case: it comes to the same. All three say exactly this. にしても is the everyday one, にしろ sounds firmer, and にせよ is mostly written.

How to form it

The same with にしろ and にせよ, and the same ending on both halves. A and B are nouns or plain forms, with no

A and B
Opposites (行いく and 行いかない, 賛さん成せい and 反はん対たい), or two of a kind (電でん車しゃ and バス).
After it
What holds in both cases, mostly your own view of it: an opinion, advice, a request.
Where you'll meet it
にしても in conversation and writing alike. にしろ in writing and formal speech, and in everyday talk when someone is being firm. にせよ mostly in writing. Both in exam reading.

In use

Once the two cases have been named, people sum them up with どちらにしても, casually どっちにしても or どっちにしろ: "either way". Here にしろ is plain everyday talk. In writing it is いずれにせよ.

Close neighbours

Do it or don't, and what follows is the same: a fee, a rule, a plan. にしても often comes before the choice is made, and says what to do first.

The "whether A or B" of something not yet known or decided, with 分わかる, 決きめる or 聞きく after it.

Used once, it is "even if": one case is granted, and something still holds.
