にしても～にしてもWhether ... or ...; in either case
にしても～にしても presents two representative alternatives and gives a conclusion that applies to both. It considers each case without choosing between them.

The alternatives may be nouns or complete actions in the plain form.

AnalyzeClose alternative patterns
にしろ～にしろ and にせよ～にせよ share the basic meaning of applying one conclusion to either case, but they tend to sound firmer and more formal. By comparison, にしても～にしても often sounds softer, as though the speaker is considering each case in turn. This is a tendency rather than an absolute divide. In contrast, なり～なり offers possible actions for someone to choose from; it does not place both alternatives under the same judgment.
