なり～なりA or B or something
なり～なり presents two representative options and urges or allows someone to choose a suitable one. The choices are examples rather than a complete list: “do A or B or something along those lines.”
A choice that leads to action
The two items are offered as practical possibilities. What follows normally tells someone what to do, suggests an action, makes a request, or gives permission. It does not merely report a fact that happens to be true of both items.
Nouns and actions
With nouns, the listener chooses an item. With verbs, the listener chooses an action.
Leaving the choice open
必要なものがあれば、毛布なり何なりお持ちします。
If anything is needed, I can bring a blanket or whatever else would help.
Analyze何なり broadens the offer beyond the one example named.

頭痛が続くなら、病院へ行くなり薬剤師に相談するなりしてください。
If the headache continues, please go to a hospital, consult a pharmacist, or take some suitable action.
Analyze待ち時間には、本を読むなり音楽を聴くなり、自由に過ごしていい。
