ではなかった・
These endings say that someone or something was not a particular person, thing, category, role, or state at a past time. Attach one complete ending directly to a noun.
Meaning and use
Use these forms when the final description is a noun and that description was not true at an earlier time. A past-time word or the surrounding conversation usually makes the time reference clear.

Use it after nouns
