Use a noun followed by をください to politely request an item: “Please give me N.”
Requesting an item
The noun names what you want to receive. It may be a concrete object, a portion of something, a document, or an information item that can reasonably be supplied.
Common requests
The same pattern works in several ordinary service and exchange situations.
Use noun + をください when asking for a thing. When asking someone to perform an action, use the verb’s て-form followed by ください instead. Do not put a plain verb directly before ください.
This direct noun request is less deferential than request patterns built from ていただく, which present an action as something received from the other person.
