Translation guide
The English word "deletion" refers to the act of removing or erasing something. In Japanese, the most common equivalent is 削除 (sakujo), used for digital and physical removal. Other terms like 抹消 (masshō) imply complete erasure, while 消去 (shōkyo) is often used in technical contexts. For genetic deletions, 欠失 (kesshitsu) is used.
