A set phrase expressing surprise at someone's uncharacteristic behavior or sudden change of heart. Often used rhetorically, not expecting a literal answer.
どうした風の吹き回しか、彼が急に掃除を始めた。
What's gotten into him? He suddenly started cleaning.
どうした風の吹き回しか、今日は自分から宿題をやっている。
What's come over you? You're doing your homework without being told today.
