Historical term for a gate used by high-ranking individuals, such as shoguns or nobles, often found in Edo-period contexts. Not used for ordinary gates.

• 江え戸ど城じょうの御お成なり門もんは、将しょう軍ぐんや大だい名みょうが通とおる特とく別べつな門もんだった。

  The Onarimon gate of Edo Castle was a special gate used by the shogun and feudal lords.
