Most strongly associated with cherry blossoms (桜), but can be used for other flowers. Often used in the pattern 満開だ or 満開になる.

  The cherry blossoms in the park are in full bloom.

• チューリップが満まん開かいになった。

  The tulips have come into full bloom.
