kyogen actors' waiting area on the noh stage bridge
A specific architectural feature of the noh stage: a small space on the bridge passageway (hashigakari) near the rear of the stage where kyogen interlude actors wait before their performance. Also referred to as 間狂言 (aikyōgen).
