疎そ意い

Archaic noun expressing a desire to keep distance or a state of estrangement. Usually used in negative constructions such as 疎意なく (without reserve, cordially).

• 彼かれは疎そ意いなく客きゃく人じんをもてなした。

  He entertained the guest without reserve.

• 古ふるい手て紙がみには「疎そ意いなくお越こしください」と書かかれていた。

  An old letter read, 'Please come without standing on ceremony.'
