Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio
Title of a famous collection of supernatural stories by Pu Songling (1640–1715). Often referred to in English as 'Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio' or 'Liaozhai zhiyi'.

The title 聊斎志異 (Liaozhai zhiyi) literally means 'Record of the Strange from the Liaozhai Studio', where 聊斎 is the author's studio name and 志異 means 'recording the strange'.
