A traditional Japanese liquor made by steeping a snake in shōchū or awamori, often believed to have medicinal properties.
In Okinawa, snake liquor is believed to be good for health.

Compound of 蛇 (へび, 'snake') and 酒 (さけ, 'alcohol'), with rendaku voicing of さけ to ざけ.
