Used when someone deliberately pays no attention to something or someone, often with a nuance of cold indifference or disregard. Commonly used in negative form with ～に or ～を.

• 彼かれは私わたしの忠ちゅう告こくに見み向むきもしなかった。

  He paid no attention to my advice.

• その子こはおもちゃに見み向むきもしないで、本ほんを読よんでいた。

  The child was reading a book, showing no interest in the toys.
